Pours from bottle a mostly golden color with a hint of orange. Yeasty aroma with a hint of grain. Flavor is bitter and grainy with undertones of a yeasty sweetness. Somewhat bitter finish. Quite drinkable. Another quality effort from Lagunitas.

Overall, not bad. Has a very paly yellow coloring. Small head, no lace on the glass. Aroma is very "Belgian", with hints of hop qualitites. Bitter flavor, almost sour, with a kind of nutty finish. Mouthfeel is thin, but not watery.

Pale gold, decent head. Aroma is of sweetly Belgian, Duvel-like in nature, with a bit of earthen hops wrapped around cotton-candy. Flavor is similar, sweet, with earthy and floral hops, and a tasty yeasty finish. Lingering bitterness. Nice.

22oz bottle from Julio’s: pours a deep golden yellow with a medium white head. Light Belgian yeast aroma with hints of banana and clove. Full bodied flavor. Banana and clove. Mild bitterness in the finish. A nice refreshing beer.

2005 bottle from Julios consumed 6/22/2005. Pours a clear, filtered, marigold-butter orange/yellow. Sparkling carbonation, quite light overall but does manage a large white head consisting of medium-sized bubbles. Fully collapsing, it twiddles away to a ring eventually, with no lacing. Aroma has notes of light orange fruits (nectarines, pears, tangerines), some light Belgian yeast (Westmalle it seems). Light citrus notes in addition to the other fruits, a touch of honey and then some corn or cream, not really a bad thing. Flavor is moderately sweet, quite hoppy, though it is more spicy than truly bitter. Finishes with light honey, bits of dough and white sugar, more fruits and yeast. Palate is rather loose, and the forced carbonation leaves quickly, giving the body a watery feel on the end, and being filtered, the beer looses a lot of mouthfeel. Corn flavors, not in a bad way, just lots of pils malt byproduct, I guess. Reminds me of a simpler, filtered Unibroue 1837 mixed with a little bit of Griffon Blonde. Like usual, filtration really kills the spirit. Though I guess if you just look at this as a summer session refresher, it passes pretty readily.

Pours a golden color with more then enough head. The beer has a citrus favor and is easy but has a bite. When it touches the palate. A very drinkable and solid beer.

Clear golden colour with thick frothy white head. mild malt nose with slight yeast hints. Medium malt taste that fades to no finish.

This beer is quite well carbonated which creates a frothy, rocky pale tan head. The beer is ever-so-lightly hazy and is a gold color with orange highlights. The aroma is a mixture of earthy spiciness and sharp tropical fruit. I get notes of earthy coriander, pear, ginger, pepper, lemon grass, really quite an interesting aroma to this beer. The taste is soft a smooth up front with a good note of vanilla and lemon. It is not as sharp as I was expecting, and the finish has a sweet grain note to it. There is a nice crisp bitterness to this beer as well, which offsets the fruity notes quite well.

This beer is quite light on the palate, which hides the alcohol that is in this beer. This beer is quite drinkable and refreshing, it has a zesty lemony note to it, and a bit of an apple cider thing going on. There is a nice herbal character here, almost grassy, as well as a nice melange of spicy notes going on. I get notes of ginger, clove, and pepper. This is a pretty nice beer, I really like the interesting mix of flavors that is happening in this beer.
