Commercial Description:
A refreshingly light, yet very complex flavor gives this one a very european 'Savoir Faire'. From Lagunitas Brewing: "The style of this one is tough to pinpoint--we rarely brew beers to fit any particular style. Saison is pretty close-- we used Westmalle yeast on a nice light ale, and the result is what we like to call an Uzbeki Raga Ale." Tony at Lagunitas calls this a "pumped-up version of our highly-touted Lagunator."

Note: 2004 edition was 7.7% ABV, 2006 is 6.6%.

Bottle: Lightly mlaty and spicey aroma. Pours a pale yellow with a white head. Light malt up front with a light spice and slight hop finish. A rather light beer overall. Thaks to Eyedrinkale.

A bit less than what I was expecting, it filled the Belgian profile, but could have been alot more true to the style, not a bad beer, but lacking in flavor, they could have done better. Not a bad beer, at any point, but not great beer either! I will try this beer again!

Thanks to Eyedrinkale for this trade! Pours with a huge frothy white head over a medium yellow, hazy brew. Very light malt and hop aroma. Lightly sweet flavor, but overall this lacks the complexity needed to fill it out. Light somewhat watery finish.

Slightly hazy straw golden color with a small amount of head and some lacing. Bread dough nose with spicy/yeasty notes. Strong hop bitterness at first, but after a few sips you can taste the malt to balace things out. I like the spicing on this one too. Very nice brew.

This tasted like a saison mixed with a trippel. Golden hazy body, large white head, chunky lacing. Aroma is sweet and full of spice, floral perfume. Smooth bodied, sweet malts; finish is spice and floral perfume followed by a dry hoppy ending. A very relaxing sipper.

Appearance: orange/amber, almost totally white finger head and moderate lacing. Aroma: spicey, belgiany, a little on the lighter side. Palate: Light, crisp as advertised, very refreshing. Flavor profile: Kind of like a belgian mixed with an english bitter, in a good way. Not quite as dry as a english bitter and a slightly bigger profile. Overall still a lighisht ale, slightly hoppy, mainly spices with something else. Overall: Pretty good, I imagine in the heat of summer this thing is the ultimate refreshment.

Chunky head with a light golden color. Wheaty aroma and wheaty flavor. Mild sweetness. I didn’t like it.
