Commercial Description:
A refreshingly light, yet very complex flavor gives this one a very european 'Savoir Faire'. From Lagunitas Brewing: "The style of this one is tough to pinpoint--we rarely brew beers to fit any particular style. Saison is pretty close-- we used Westmalle yeast on a nice light ale, and the result is what we like to call an Uzbeki Raga Ale." Tony at Lagunitas calls this a "pumped-up version of our highly-touted Lagunator."

Note: 2004 edition was 7.7% ABV, 2006 is 6.6%.

Bottle (650ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and tupalev, my bottle. Clear gold with a small diminishing white head. Aroma is very dry and fruit-sweet - hell, dusty dry, yeasty and spicy; dried flowers. Taste is quite mild too - dry, sugary malt, plenty of yeast and floral hops, a light bitterness in the finish. Quite a light body, watery mouthfeel, only vaguely carbonated, but there’s dusty flower pollen and mildly funky character in the aftertaste. Quite a change of pace, but solid.

This bottled brew from a rating party poured a medium sized head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that was mostly diminishing and left behind a transparent softly carbonated yellow colored body. The aroma was malty mild hop and dough. The mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish. The weird flavor was off tasting and contained notes of malt and crisp tingly hops.

Blond color. Some malt aroma, with straw. Very simple taste, light fruitness, flat emotions.

Golden color beer with a tight bubbled white head. Active bubbles coming up through the beer. Lots of yeast in the nose. Buscuity malts, candied orange peel citrus, almost wheaty mouthfeel. Lots of belgian yeast characteristics. Some banana, berry, and a little spice. Nice American take on Belgian ale. Thanks to Buch Dick for the bottle.

bomber. Golden in color with a medium sized white head. Decent aroma of yeast and some citrus, also a bit wheaty. Estery. Nice flavor, starts out malty, a bit sweet, followed by some banana and not too surprising a touch of hops on the end. The hops are quite mild, thankfully. Medium bodied, nice drinking. Not bad at all.
