| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 12, 2009 bottle- nice strong astringent hop character with a fine balancing sweetness- very similar to hop stoopid, but dialed back a bit- has an oily hop character I don’t find in many other beers. Tasty, and right in line with the quality of Lagunitas brews. kyzr (1127), Belgrade, Montana, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 11, 2009 Dark gold with big, foamy white head / Nose of fresh pine and candied citrus / Light to medium body, a little watery, with good balance and finish / Flavors of fresh cut pine, toast, and candied grapefruit / Body detracts slightly, but otherwise excellent. trevor211 (518), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 11, 2009 Pours a very transparent orange with a large, though quickly dissipating head. Sweet candied mandarin oranges mingle with mild hops in the aroma. Flavor brings mild spices, black pepper, and brings out the bitterness in the citrus - like the citrus rind suddenly made an appearance. Somewhat dilute, but effervescent. Meh. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 11, 2009 Color is a bright clear gold with good carbonation and a fluffy white head. Aroma of citrus and hay. Taste is light and citric. Starting with a light body it goes down easy with a crisp feel. Finish is a mild sweet taste of grapefruit and lemon with a hint of pine, this is backed with an even bitterness. After taste is more bitterness and the citrus lingers on. This is a nice fresh tasting and easy drinking brew. It would be a great brew to have around on a nice summer day. Bockyhorsey (2554), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 11, 2009 Bomber. Good ripe citrus and floral notes on the nose for aroma. Lighter shade of amber body color with off white foamy head and good amount of lace left on pint glass. Real good grapefruit flavor with moderate bitter and not the over indulgance of malt found in most APA I’ve had latley. Good refresment. parapunter (1), Christchurch, New Zealand does not count | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 11, 2009 Thin head, disappears quickly. Aroma of grapefruit blossom and pine. Big bitterness hit with strong citrus notes, but very smooth. It says on the bottle "This is NOT a Double IPA". I don’t know why they’d want to t\lie about a thing like that.
