Pours clear bronze with an off-white head. The aroma has lots of clean citrus and pine hops. There is also a light funk and some caramel malt. Medium crisp grainy body that ends up getting smooth with semi-sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with a pithy grapefruit, orange, pine and floral hoppiness. There is a a nice toasty caramel malt backing as well. The finish has lots of hops, but not very harsh - everything is gentle in this beer. Hops forward, but still balanced and completely enjoyable. Great APA.

"But I "corrected" them sir. And when my wife tried to prevent me from doing my duty, I "corrected" her." --Delbert Grady Appearance: Pours out a bright, brilliantly clear, copper-hued body with a fine, white head. Smell: Fragrant, well-hopped nose smelling of citrus fruits (grapefruit, lemon, and even a bit of lime), a few drops of good, clean soap, fresh florals, and a garnish of pine needles. Also, some sweetish pale malt and fresh grain notes. Taste: Pale malts with a short-lived sweetness and tiny hint of toasted grain leads to hop flavors of citrus fruits, flowers, light pine, and light soap. Medium-high bitterness, but, for me, it’s not overbearing. A few flecks of toffee. Finishes dry with a lasting bitterness (but, again, not too bitter). Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is a tad oily, but it’s also a tad crisp. Drinkability: Enjoyable and delightfully easy to drink, and, considering their highly reasonable pricing, this is certainly one to pick up.

I’m expecting something over the top. 22 oz bottle with a twist off cap. First bomber I’ve had with a twist off cap. Poured into a big 24 oz cold glass mug. Very citrus frutiy and hoppy on the olfactory, rather sweet, too. No sweetness carries over to the first swig. Bitter biting pine tree sap or tar. Much more like an IPA or DIPA, but laggy is always over the top, so be it. Soap dispenser flavors without being too thick. Rude crude and difficult to take. Too much for an APA, unless APA is really hoppy anymore. Some alky burn on the throat. Round and round the coating im the mouth goes, when it stops nobody knows. Not only is this beer rather unenjoyable for a lager lover, it is off style. Oh, well, the ratebeerians will love it, its hoppy beer, leaning on DPA all the way. Dude, now I see its in the 95 percentile, no wonder. Long nasty over the top laggy bitter linger. Shades of their other brews in here baby.

22 oz bottle. Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is citrus, malts, with a nice addition of orange zest. Flavor is citrus, with notes of malts, sweet fruit. Good, clean finish with the alcohol content perfect for this beer.

Pours clear deep gold with quickly fading off white head. The aroma is sweet citrus hop goodness with a mix of sugary malts, grapefruit and orange peel. The taste starts with both grapefruit hop bitterness and sweet malts. Those two notes quickly blend together creating a very nice sensation. Just as quickly they splinter back apart by midway pushing grapefruit hop bitterness to the front. Toward the finish it thins out as grapefruit brings this to closure and into the after taste. Refreshing brew.

Bottle from the Sam’s in Downers Grove, IL: This pours a rich bronze body with a heft head and provides plenty of lace. It has an aroma of resiny pine and orange zest covering sweet toasty, grainy malt. That pretty well describes the flavor except that the orange zest bitterness intensifies during the drinking. The finish has a prolonged zest bitterness and is fairly dry. What an APA should be.

Good hoppy pine and juniper notes on the nose. Clear crisp appearance, thin head. Light, effervescent mouth feel. Flavor is a little one dimensional, with the same hop notes as the nose. Overall very nice.

This golden ale poured with a fluffy off-white head and a pleasant floral aroma. I had worked all day in the hot sun, and this was really refreshing. There is a crisp caramel malt flavor with a hint of pine and just a slight hop bitterness. Very well-balance and tasty.
