smell is of orange flavored tang, somewhat tropical, earth, some dry leaves, and a hint of caramel.
taste is crisp, orange peel, some pine, hops, citrus, touch of grapefruit, and a little caramel, end is on the sour side.

May 24, 2009 Bitter as all get out. Pours deeply golden with a good lingering head. Brisk hops and grapefruit on the aroma. Medium nectar with expansive effers on the palate. Lean and mean this one is brisk and bittered all to hell with a mild malty fruit component. The finish is dry. Drinks better as it warms. Very citrusy.

May 23, 2009 22oz. Bottle: Aroma of hops, grapefruit, slight toasted malt, pine, light pale malt, and lychee. Poured amber in color with a small, off-white, head that lasted around the edges. Clear. Slightly sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and medium bitter. Tastes of hops, resin, grapefruit, pine, and a hint of tropical fruit. Light to medium body. Thin, chalky texture. Average carbonation. Hoppy, grapefruit finish is chalky.

May 23, 2009 Loved this one. Light orange, decent head, clear. Aroma is a strong blast of citrus, loads of grapefruit, pineapple, lemon zest. Flavor matches, with a nice caramel accented malt backbone, but the focus is clearly on the juicy hops. Really tasty stuff here.

May 22, 2009 Wow...another really good one by Lagunitas. Somewhat surprised. These guys are hit or miss for me. Extremely floral with hints of raisin, citrus, and pine. Flavor is honey straight from the comb, toffee, brown sugar, caramel malt and noticeable hop presence. Crystal clear 24 karat pour with enough carbonation to ignite the palate. Really tasty.

May 22, 2009 Very inviting citrus aroma with some pine. Sparkling light copper in appearance with little white head. Quite hoppy. Lots of citus and grass, mild toffee and a lingering bitterness. Pretty decent offering - I wish they’d replace their regular IPA with this.
