A Beer to help remember that things go in cycles and then to help forget what you remembered.

This is NOT a Double IPA - It’s just a good American Ale.

Bottle. Gold pour with a small white head. Nice floral hops, grapefruit and citrus rind in the aroma. Flavor is caramal and pilsner malt, czech hops and citrus hops. Like a pilsner / apa. Pretty good beer.

22oz Bomber – Gravity Beer Market – Olympia, WA
Aroma: Strong malt and hops aroma.
Appearance: Amber in color, clear with a thin head.
Flavor: A bigger beer than you think. This is a like a IPA and amber in my opinion. Big hops and malt flavors.
Palate: Dry finish, with a Good Mouthfeel.
Overall: If this beer can make the change and help out then I understand what they are doing.

Bottle at RnH Drink for Charity. Thanks to everyone who brought great beer to this. Golden with ring head. Unbelievable hoppy lemon pastry aroma. Melon sweet fruitiness with super dry awesome citrus hop flavor and medium bitterness. Nice crisp refreshing body and carbo. What an awesome surprise. Between this and Hop Stoopid, I’d say these guys are on the rise in the IPA world.

Every time I see a new Lagunitas beer on the shelves, I say to myself, "I need another Lagunitas tick like I need a hole in the head" - and yet, I always find myself in this position, opening, consuming, and consequently rating yet another Lagunitas beer - it’s not that their beers are bad - they’re just so damned homogeneous - take this one for example - if you lined up all of their IPAs and other pale hoppy ales, I doubt I could pick this one out of the line-up - and still...and still...there is something about the fresh, zesty, peppery hops and citrus character that my palate refuses to dislike - nothing stands out, but I can’t say I’m dissatisfied with my purchase - and still...and still...I can’t say I’m satisfied, either - Lagunitas is to craft beer what Olive Garden is to Italian food; something seems inauthentic and bland, but you still leave the experience feeling somewhat satisfied.

Pours from bomber a clear light-medium coppery hue, forming a decent egg white head of foam. Aroma is of citrusy and pine resin hops. Some caramelized crystal malt in there as well. The flavour is exceptionaly smooth, and is very citrusy, grapefruit rind bitterness, piney, great hop taste. Palate has a nice balancing hop bitterness. Cross of APA and IPA, either way, tasty, well made beer.

I love the concept behind this beer -- enough with the monsters already! Poured with a nice bronze sheen, albeit a little flat. The aroma is wonderfully inviting, warmly hoppy, but not in an overpowering way. This drinks with a nice piney core, with a "big" character, but not in a gigantic way. Very nice beer. Overall a great beer to consume when you have time for a bomber. Color is light amber. Aroma is piney hops, flavor is all citrus hop and slightly detectable malt.
