22oz bottle, 9/6/09. A very delicous non-IPA. I will most definitely buy and try again. Another strong showing by Lagunitas.

I like Lagunitas beers, but sometimes, like this beer, they favor the grapefruit characteristics in their hoppy brews. Think I’d like this more if it wasn’t for that. Poured a nice sized white head and lots of lace. Color is a slightly hazy medium amber. Aroma is malty, spicy, grapefruit hoppy. Flavor’s about the same. Very good body and carbonation. Finish is long on the grapefruit.

Pours yellow with a big ice cream head that leaves tons of lacing. Smells like wet dog, but I’ve noticed that with all Lagunitas. Taste is pine, citrus, hops, etc. Overall good but I think I got an old bottle, I was expecting more.

Pours a deep golden-orange color, very clear and with sparkling carbonation. The head is a bubbly off white that sticks around a while. Nice rich aroma of a variety of hops. I get strong grapefruit and pine. Virtually no malt aroma. Flavor is an explosion of hops as well, but not as overpowering as I expected from the nose. There is more of a malt aspect too and a touch of sweetness. I wouldn’t call this one balanced, but not as far off as I expected. Mouthfeel is quite nice. Not too thick or thin, and the carbonation is pleasant and not too strong.

Bomber->tulip: Pours a large, white head that exhibits good lacing atop a clear, yellow body. Light aroma of malt, with some caramel and grain. Hops are perfume-y and a tinge of bubble gum alongside. The body is light, the texture is thin, with soft carbonation, finishing astringent. The flavor’s duration is short, being lightly sweet, moderately acidic, and lightly bitter.

Enjoyed with Celticbrew, DrBayern, Uncle Tom, Brian the Beer Pimp, and the two newbies, Lawyer Bob and The Boy Wonder Chris! Pours a dark yellow with a full nice lacy head. It has a very nice floral hoppy head, with nice bittering on the backside. mouthfeel was very nice.

As always, another tasty beer from Lagunitas. Golden yellow pour with a white head. Aroma is of malt and hops. Taste is malt and piney hops. This beer leaves a nice hop flavor in the mouth. The glass was totally laced.

Amber pour with lively carbonation and a boisterous two finger white head. Aroma holds orange, sweet grapefruit, lemon, pine resin, bread, and caramel. Flavor is very nice; sweet citrus hop combines with a really nice earthy and sappy bitterness. This is beautifully balanced by a subtle but evident caramel malt presence. Palate holds the bitterness really nicely. Really nice APA.

Amber pour with quite the lively white froth. Aroma is citrus, hop resin, caramel, bread, and grass. Flavor is sweet tangerine, mandarin, caramel, biscuit, and earth- all combine to make a delicious and well balanced flavor profile. Palate is medium to full for the style with lively effervescence and a sticky resinous finish. Very pleased with this one.
