Bottle from Whole Foods Los Altos. American Pale Ale is sort of an unfair category for this - it’s more like an IPA. Pours clear golden with a two-finger cream-colored head and good lacing. Aroma is great, with citrusy and slightly floral hops, sweet malt, and tropical fruit. Flavor is sweet pale and caramel malt, balanced by grapefruit and orange hops as well as some pineapple. Some resin on the finish. A bit faded possibly from age but still tasty. Body is medium and there is quite a bit of lasting hop bitterness. Overall another solid Lagunitas offering.

As always, another tasty beer from Lagunitas. Golden yellow pour with a white head. Aroma is of malt and hops. Taste is malt and piney hops. This beer leaves a nice hop flavor in the mouth. The glass was totally laced.

Amber pour with lively carbonation and a boisterous two finger white head. Aroma holds orange, sweet grapefruit, lemon, pine resin, bread, and caramel. Flavor is very nice; sweet citrus hop combines with a really nice earthy and sappy bitterness. This is beautifully balanced by a subtle but evident caramel malt presence. Palate holds the bitterness really nicely. Really nice APA.

Amber pour with quite the lively white froth. Aroma is citrus, hop resin, caramel, bread, and grass. Flavor is sweet tangerine, mandarin, caramel, biscuit, and earth- all combine to make a delicious and well balanced flavor profile. Palate is medium to full for the style with lively effervescence and a sticky resinous finish. Very pleased with this one.

Pours a yellow/orange in color, with a mostly diminishing off white head and excellent lacing. The aroma is hops, pine, citrus and some malt underlying. The taste is bitter, creamy very good.

Tasted 11/12/09. 22oz bomber. Filtered orange yellow hue with a moldy bone white head. Aromas of Citrus candy sugar and red berry esters. Medium bodied with a good palate. Big beer for the style. Lotta hops with a complex flavor profile. Grapefruit and grassy. Moderately tingling effervescence. Bitter with a bit of dryness. Lingers sweetly on the tongue with a hint of 7Up syrup. The malt bill starts to shine as the temp slowly rises. Bready graham malts arise. Bright with tight hop notes. Solid.
