| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 31, 2009 Bomber from the Binny’s in Orland Park, IL: It poured a light, clear golden amber body having a steady stream of tiny bubbles supporting a tall and sustained head that laced the glass heavily. The aroma was strong with citrusy hop smells, pine, and pungent earth. Occasionally, some sweet pale malt scents would leak out. The flavor lead off with a light sweetness, but that was soon supplanted by bitter, fruity hops and a peppery warmth. The finish was bitter and dry. Very nicely done.

Aroma has touches of spice, hops, malts. Flavor is quite refreshing, with notes of sweet malts, touches of spices, and a nice hop flavor throughout. Pine. Finishes pretty well, refreshing and was extraordinarily well priced. AskForJenny (643), Ontario, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 30, 2009 Copper color with white head. Dominate citrus and pine nose. Solid malt backbone to hole up the big hop flavor. Good IPA. hoppopotamus (185), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 29, 2009 A clear copper beer with a large fluffy off-white head. No visible hop haze, leaves lace. Aroma is big cascade hops, flavor is much the same atop lots of hop bitterness, but some caramel maltiness in there too. Finish dry and bitter. Good DIPA! hike20 (35), Iowa, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 29, 2009 Pours a nice gold with a massive, long lasting head and tons of lacing. Strong aroma of grapefruit and a little resin. Quite full and pleasing. Wow, the initial flavor very closely follows the aroma. I expected over powering hops but it ends up surprisingly balanced. It still favors the hops, mind you, but also has some sweetness too. I can feel the alcohol in my stomach, but it doesn’t have a strong presence in the flavor. Mouth feel is also dead center, with medium carbonation. Overall very nice indeed. SuIIy (1445), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Nov 28, 2009 Bottle. Pours a coppery orange color with a small filmy white head. Spidery, leggy lacing. Nose is spicey, resiny hops with a light sticky malt. Palate is stingy and sticky with a bitter finish. Flavor is big piney and resiny hops with a big bitterness and some light spiciness. Very refreshing. SuzyGreenberg (1367), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 27, 2009 bomber - pours clear copper with soapy white head; aromas of crystal malt, lemony hops and grass; medium body with some buttery hops and sweet bitterness; plenty dry and bitter in the finish; a solid IIPA, but nothing really stands out to me Pawola22 (722), Kansas City, Missouri, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 26, 2009 22oz bottle. Pours a crystal clear, golden-orange colored body with an inch thick, rocky, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a solid lacing. Pretty color to this beer. Aroma is really nice and well rounded. Moderately sweet caramels, some dough, and some chewy toffees make up a really nice malt body. A moderate resiny tropical fruit and citrus hop backing to this. Mango, tangerine, orange, pineapple, and melon all bring out a nice floral aspect. The flavor is more of the same. Solid malt backing with a nice caramel and dough before the resiny, moderate bitterness finishes this off. Tropical and citrusy for a chewy hop bite and a dry, floral finish. Medium length aftertaste after a smooth, medium to full body. Overall, a very nice DIPA with a great balance. Sturdy malts and a good amount of fruity hops made this quite enjoyable. Well done. savnac (422), Palmer, Alaska, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 24, 2009 22 oz bottle. Clear rusty orange with a sticky off white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is floral hops, citrus and a sweet sugary caramel. The flavor has a good amount of hop bitterness from start to finish, there is some sweetness in the background just to help balance it out. Typical body, carbonation and mouth feel for an IIPA. Another great, affordable beer from Lagunitas.
