On draft at TJ’s Everyday. Poured deep, hazy orange. Good balance between resinous pine and sweet citrus fruits. Finished a surprisingly mellow bitter. Easy drinking. Another great IIPA from Lagunitas.

Whoa there very potent aromas of citrus and pine, quite powerful and thusly enjoyed. Body is a bit more nuanced, but still packs the flavor punch with some sugary malt dancing well with the citrus zested pine trees and dusty biscuit. Nice

Aroma: Pine, hops, sweet malt. Appearance: Reddish copper w/ medium head that fades quickly. Taste: Pine, Hops, Sweet malt. Palate: low carbonation, sticky mouthfeel. Overall: Good but feels flat and not lively in the mouth. Beer needs a more dimensional taste

Bomber. Sweet citrus aroma hits the nose. Dark golden body with creamy white head and sugar coat of lace. Sweet hop citrus with some dry citrus vine flavor. Sugary sweetness and dry citrus peel aftertaste. Good stuff.

Bottle; poured a clear orange/amber color with a creamy off white head. Aroma of orange, citrus, caramel and flowers. Flavor of the same components; well balanced with nice clean flavors. Very fresh tasty. Good deal.

Honeyed gold, green dank hoppy aroma reminds me of the stoopid. Torn on this beer. Little too sweet and almost cloying, but the overall value influences my sensory perception. So. I would like the contrast better if the sweetness was more caramel and less white sugar, but overall the hops win me over with their full leafy finish.

22oz. Bomber. In a word YES!! Another instant hop classic from Lagunitas. Pours a deceptively light straw color with a quarter inch of lacy froth. Big aroma dominated by grapefruit and pine resin. Potently bitter with a mean streak of pine resin. As the bitterness fades the hop flavors come through and have a taste of fresh tropical fruits. Plenty of malt to keep the beer from being one dimensional. Palate is a bit thicker than I expected and the texture is sticky and resinous. That 8% ABV is hidden unbelievably well. This beer is boldly flavorful, crisp and refreshing. Everything I’ve come to expect in a good IIPA. The hop flavor is eerily reminiscent of the Hop Stoopid, but this one has a sharper bitterness.

Bomber, from BOTW, split with a lucky friend. Bubbly looking, slightly cloudy, thick white foam. Big grapefruit nose. Palate is mostly the same but decently balanced. This has heavy heavy hops kick, but wasn’t too much for me. By the way had a very nice lush mouthfeel.

Lagunitas a Little Sumpin’ Extra! Ale is clear and dark golden with a thin white film that leaves tenacious foam on the glass. It’s sweet and sugary smelling, with notes of dark fruit, maybe plum. It’s smooth, sticky and pretty full bodied with a sharp finish. It’s pretty huge. It’s sweet and quite bitter. There’s a peaty note in there. It has a long juniper finish. Wow. It’s bold.
