| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 30, 2009 Clear gold with a creamy white head. Aroma is a mix of northern evergreens and tropical fruits. Flavor is a bit alcohol heavy, but there is enough hop and malt to keep things in check. A tongue tingler for sure. Pretty easy drinking with some nice doughy malt aspects that set apart from the typical IIPA set.

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 2, 2009 Bright, fragrant, pine and citrus hop aroma , exhibits all that s wonderful about the fresh hop essence, flavor is hop dominated with bitter hopping really showing off,and the tangy grapefruit rind tangerine, piney tar flashing its colors in a fireworks of flavor, just the slightest hint of malt sweetness ,also of a fruity nature as backing, one of the best hop brews I have tasted this year, and with its 4 dollar price, this has to be what Consumers Report would call the "Best Buy" of the year after4ever (2762), Brier, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2009 22. Pours an absolutely crystal clear medium orange amber with a towering fluffy whitish head. Intermittent little blips of fuzzy white lace coming down the ides of the glass. Nice big fresh and tangy pine nose, almost a spicy sugary pineness to it. Bold and crisp and even a bit sweet. Very interestingly pronounced pine quality. Creamy medium body with crisp and active carb, almost a bit prickly in spots but not quite. Very assertive. A little caramel and lightly browned toast underneath a big fat tsunami of tangy wango mango, pineapple, and plenty of pine. Finish washes through in a big wave of pine bitterness that slowly gives way to a slightly darker resinous bitterness. Overall a very brightly flavored IPA that gets its bitterness from an oily high-acid hop rather than overwhelming bags full of long-boiled hops that broke way down. Very light body for 8.74, but all the flavor you’d expect, plus tons of carbonation. More refreshing than anything I can think of that’s higher grav, and at least as refreshing as anything I can think of over 8. But, then, they really should ought to know what they’re doing with huge bold ales by now, right? Rynoplasty (513), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 30, 2009 22 oz bomber. Pours a clear golden amber with a thick creamy off white head. Aroma is fruity citric tangerine hops, very refreshing and zesty. Some pine all accompanied by a strong caramel and toffee malt back. Flavor starts with a solid caramel malt base but the hops come out quickly and overtake the tongue with citric fruits and resins. Gets a sharp grapefruit like zest in the finish and some alcohol burn. Medium slightly syrupy body and a sharp active carbonation. Pretty good double IPA, which the alcohol burnt less but nicely balanced. sneagrams3 (1756), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
