| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 4, 2009 Pours a dark copper orange color with a foamy white head that leaves nice rings of lacing in the glass. The aroma shows fresh oranges and grapefruit citrus with a caramel malt backbone to round things out. The flavor follows with the fresh citrus and piney hops up front. The orange and grapefruit really stand out, and the malts add more sweetness and smooth over the bitterness. Really nice sweet, citrus flavor in this one. Medium bodied with good carbonation with a nice bitter finish. Really nice drinking ipa. matt7215 (996), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 3, 2009 on tap @ coles. pours light copper with a white head. big hoppy aroma. flavour is full of hops with minimal malt structure. dry, bitter finish. borderline IIPA here in term of IBU delivery, all its lacking is more malt structure. as is a very nice IPA. j12601 (1349), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 3, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange with a medium to large barely off white head. Loads of sweet pine and citrus hops, just a touch of pineapple. Sweet and spicy hops hit right up front, but then fade off slightly fading into a more mellow tangerine note in the middle. Finishes with a tangy grapefruit bitterness that begins subtly and lingers for quite a while. Alcohol sticks out a little bit, but fairly well hidden throughout. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 3, 2009 Bottle. Pours clear dark gold with a 2 finger dense white head that results in spotty lacing. The nose is pine and toffee. The taste is caramel, ripe citrus and pine with a tart grapefruit finish. Medium bodied – a nice IPA. PhilTheThrill (19), Florida, USA

smells like straight fresh hops. this is a wheat beer? totally doesn’t taste like 7 plus percent. not quite as good as the other recent lagunitas seasonal ipas, but still damn good. Bartzilla (445), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 3, 2009 Very fresh and tasty IPA. Smells like sticking your nose in a bag of hop flowers. Easy drinking and the 7.3% is not noticeable. Could be a crusher of an ale with its relatively smooth drinkability. afireinside96 (840), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 3, 2009 Bottle. Pours hazy gold with a big lasting head. Smells very hoppy, pine and grapefruit. Simcoe and Amarillo? Yes please. Hops aren’t as prevalent in the flavor but they are very much in the forefront (grapefruit, pine, peach, mango) along with some tart wheat and a dollop of caramel. Restained bitterness. Has some sweetness on the finish. Oh my, very tasty. Papsoe (15109), Frederiksberg, Denmark
