Jul 3, 2009 Sampled on 7/2/2009. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is citrus and piney hops, some malt and some orange. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and piney, lots of grapefruit. Nice balance. Good carbonation. It is a nice crisp and dry IPA with just enough hops and bitterness. Hides the 7% alcohol very well. A great summer IPA, there is a certain lightness to this beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Jul 2, 2009 Bottle. Poured clear gold with small white head. Aroma of nice crisp citrus and pine hops. Some mild faint spice also noted. Taste is really hoppy, lots of citrus and some light pine, with a decent malt backing. Finish is little bitter. Mouth is smooth and well carbonated. Very refreshing APA/IPA.

Jul 2, 2009 Pours an orange color with a moderate off-white head. Floral and citrusy aroma. Flavors are citrusy hops, grapefruit, orange peel, lemon with some pine showing in the finish. Firm bitterness and a touch dry. Light sweet malt backing. Drinks light for 7% and refereshing, excellent IPA for the summer.

Jul 2, 2009 On tap at Cole’s. Surprising light colour for a hopped up beer. The hop aroma is certainly there. Good lace. Taste of moderate grapefuit. Big mouthfeel. Served too cold, a rare brainfreeze from beer. Above-average carbonation. Drying finish, with a mint-spice aftertaste. IBU must be high.

Jul 2, 2009 Super aroma of citrus and pine. Slightly hazy light gold in color with a nice white and oozing lace. Juicy fruit hop flavor, definitely lots of hops to go around, tons of lemons, limes and grapefruit. Enough maltiness to keep it honest with a dash of caramel. Great beer.

Jul 2, 2009 Lagunitas is becoming to pale ales what Unibroue is to Belgian Strongs - releasing a long series of very nice, but very similar beers. This falls in the same category. Very pale orange, decent head. Aroma grapefruit hops with some pine. Flavor is some gummy caramel malt with balancing grapefruit citrus and pine hops. Nice beer.
