I wasn’t really sure what to expect with this beer since the bottle didn’t really say much about the beer. But, my gamble paid off. This is a mighty tasty, very hoppy beer. The hop flavor is more citrus sweet than bitter. There was lots of head, but that’s probably just because i was sloppy with the pour. Overall, I am quite happy with this beer and might have to grab a six pack after trying this single.

Dec 9, 2009 355 ml bottle. Clear amber. Thick fluffy white head that clings to the glass. Nice floral and caramelly aroma. Notes of lemon. Body is surprisingly thin and I would suspect sugars were used to dry out its body. Nicely balanced with caramel and hops. The finish is light and not really bitter. The hops do not shine through as much as one would expect. Still this is a nice and very drinkable beer. It does not really match the average IPA though, for many reasons.

Dec 3, 2009 Draft. Pours slightly hazy orange with a relatively thin, creamy white head. Aroma of honey, raisins, lemon zest, hops, and a slight touch of pine. Medium, simple body with a touch of sweetness in the finish. Good IPA.

Dec 2, 2009 On draft at Teresa’s. Poured cloudy orange with fine lacing. Surprisingly malty but this one is all about the citrus. A note of coriander also noticeable. Fairly bold for an APA, as was listed on the beer menu at Teresa’s.

Nov 27, 2009 Bottle. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity fresh hoppy grapefruit aroma. Smooth malty hoppy bitter grapefruit flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit finish.

Nov 23, 2009 Draught at TND: Aroma of hops, tropical fruit, light citrus, and slight resin. Poured amber/orange in color with a medium-sized, creamy, dense, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Slightly hazy. Slightly sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of caramel malts, hops, tropical fruit, light caramel, slight pine, and slight resin. Medium body. Oily, then lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Hops and tropical fruit finish is lightly dry and lightly bitter. 7.3%ABV is totally hidden. A little too sweet for an IPA.

Nov 16, 2009 Served from tap at Brewfest Los Angeles. Clear gold color with off-white head. Aroma of fruits and malts. Flavor is sweet citrus notes mixed with medium bitterness. Dry texture. Good carbonation. Good beer!

Oct 28, 2009 Clear orange look with a small baige head. Aroma is nice of citrus and sweet orange with a good amount of caramel. Tasty crisp flavor with a medium bitterness and orange sweetness.
