Sep 3, 2004 Glorious reddish amber in color with a nice head and no lacing. Aroma of caramel malt and sweet apples. Sweet caramel flavor with a slight zing of spiciness - like cinnamon in an apple pie. Very bubbly on the tongue and sweet in flavor. A nice beer altogether. Thanks to Flipbrewer.

Aug 10, 2004 Amber ale? Pours a deep reddish/copper with a beige head. Aroma is somewhat sweet, somewhat spicy. Appealing. Good carbonation, smooth feel. Flavor is sweet and spicy and refreshing. A good drink.

Feb 7, 2004 Dark sinewy amber. Minimal concentric head. Aroma of buckwheat pancake and maple syrup. Buttery, hints of lime and walnuts. Quite prominent charred bitterness framed by slippery rich malt body. Finishes a bit thin.

Jan 20, 2004 Dark amber in color. Smells of chocolate caramel and earth. Well balanced but watered down malt and hop flavor. A bit too thin bodied.

Dec 5, 2003 Pours a ruby-bronze. Small tna head. Nose is malt and hops.The hop character seems to be a peg or two above the hops. Very nice blend of the hops and malt. Some lighter chocolate notes in there as well. The body is a little thin and it finishes sort of watery. This is a good session beer though.

Jul 22, 2003 Nice pour! Amber color but the head didn't linger around too much. Good smooth taste with some hops and malt. Another good Lagunitas brew.

Jun 25, 2003 Super nice color, is a dark ruby, orangey, brown, kinda hazy, with a small bubbly white head and patches of tight lace around the glass. Smells of nice sweet, fruit-like, malt with some fresh hops. Taste is great, very smooth, bold, clean, & fresh. Creamy and sweetly done malt with a very nice smooth, but slight hop dryness. Perfect medium body with a light and sweet dry finish. Very nice indeed. Well balanced and yummy. This is a great amber!
