Mostly still with a smattering of tan air bubbles. Big brownie aroma and smooth vanilla from the bourbon with some oakiness and subdued coffee. Chocolate cakey flavor with a nice medium bourbon influence. Light, moussey, airy body makes this beer hugely drinkable for a barrel imp stout. nimbleprop (895), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA

Pours a nearly opaque black, slightly watery, with a ringing beige head. Aroma is very mild, vanilla, coffee, nuts and not a whole lot else. Flavor is a little better, slightly peppery, slightly boozy, some light wood, coffee grounds. Full bodied with a bitter finish. A little bit of a letdown. Frankly, I think the barrel aging eliminated some of the cappucino flavors. bassbuckeye (81), Ohio, USA

Dark poor with copper head. Dark chocolate and roast smell with intense coffee arome. Taste coffee and cream not bad but a little to intense on the cappacino flavor. baraciisch (138), USA

Like chewing on coffee beans and drinking a stout if you like that kind of thing…. Decent aroma…. Alcohol content of 8.3% is well hidden over the strong coffee flavor… Not my favorite coffee stout…. aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA
