Bottle. Off-white high creamy and lasting head. Beautiful clear red brown body. Distinct barley malt aroma. Pretty hoppy caramel alcohol flavor. Low carbonation with a long hops bitterness aftertaste.

Had on tap. Poured a hazy copper color. I wanted to like this beer much more then I did...Not quite as sweet as I like my barleywines, and a bit too hoppy for me! Taste was malt, toffee, caramel and hops.

Clear sparkling copper, thin frothy white head. Subdued nose of toasted brown sugar, toffee brittle, vanilla caramel and hints of pine and citrus. Warming peppery flavors meld into sweet brown sugar and caramel tones. Touches of earth and citrus aim to balance, but fail just short. Full bodied, soft carbonation, dry, lightly bittersweet finish. A good sipper...

Aint serindipity great? Two of these at work today. Sweet and rounded body with a pungent aroma that filled the workshop after about five minutes. A serious crisp fisnish....kind of like you missed the last two steps on the stairway effect. The balance wasnt quite there but a porch sitter at sunset it certainly is. O5 Bottle from theBeercellar in trade. Tinny and a bit more unbalanced. (3.3)

Draft at Galway Tribes. Luminous brown sugar body. No head remains after the first minute. Definite sweet brown sugar smell and taste. Carbonation is almost still, or like an industrial engineer drilled microscopic bubbles into the beer mass. Nice hop backburn, plenty of alcohol taste. Another good CA BW.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a medium sized orange head. The aroma is lovely grassy combined with notes of grapefruit, hops, and some caramel, as well as just the faintest hint of alcohol - a very inviting aroma. The flavor is very sweet - a bit too sweet for my liking, with strong notes of caramel, hops, grapefruit, grass, pine needles, roasted malt, and alcohol, leading to a very bitter end with the hops, grapefruit and alcohol lingering, the bitterness finaly turns dry. The body is thick. Just a bit too aggresive in sweetness and alcohol for my, but still nice.

Pours a deep amber hue. The aroma is a sweet blend of molasses, honey and citrus. The taste is definitely a mix of honey sweetness and malty alcohol. You can sense the alcohol as it goes down the throat.

This poured as amber as amber could be, citris nose with the hint of brown shugga hence the name. alcohol present, of course. Later taste of bitterness.
