TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a dark brown, that look black in the glass until held to the light when it became a bright red. It had a small to average, off-white head that fully diminished. The aroma was mostly just sour coffee. The flavor stared out a little sweet and more bitter and sour, while it finished mostly sour with an average to long duration. There was sour coffee, dark roasted malt and a little chocolate. The medium to full body was oily with fizzy carbonation and an astringent finish. kayod (4), , Alberta, Canada does not count | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 20, 2009 The fistrt cofee beer who really taste like a beer mixed with cofee, or more cappuccino. very tasty on a cold weather, will buy it again. alobar (1020), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 18, 2009 Dark black with a tan almost brown head. Solid aroma of roasted malts, coffee, and some chocolate. Chocolate and roasted malts on the front of the tongue. Lots of coffee on the back end. Almost like drinking a cup of black coffee. Very little carbonation. Not bad at all. jgb9348 (2502), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 17, 2009 Very deep brown coloured body with a very thin tan head. Aroma of nuts, coffee, sweet caramel and even a fair amount of hops! Medium-bodied; Strong Malty flavour with hops up front and a good nuttiness along with some coffee and chocolate tastes too. Aftertaste shows coffee and roasted malt, also some caramel and a tiny bit of hops. Overall, a good beer - perhaps not enough maltiness and stouty flavours, but a good beer. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased at BevMo Express in Mission Valley (San Diego), California on 22 October 2006. raphael (415), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 16, 2009 Deep red brown color with thin khaki head. Aroma of molasses, coffee, cardboard. A little flat in the bottle, thin textured. Reminiscent of baltic porters with the roasted sugar and alcohol flavors, plus coffee and resiny hops.. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA

Quite good stout pouring deep dark brown with a creamy head that stays around respectably. nose of booze and espresso with a well balanced sip of malt, sweet coffee and some bite. Very smooth, smokiness/roast is well in check but still present. Touch metallic but great body for a regular stout and quite tasty. Well done. patrick767 (2033), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 11, 2009 bottle - I like my beer like I like my women: thick, dark, bitter, and infused with coffee. huh? This brew pours very dark brown with a big lingering tan head. It smells of dark roast malt and coffee. The flavor is all about the dark roast with the malted goodness and the bitterness of the coffee and hops. I would have guessed more than 29.5 IBUs, but it works. The ABV that I suppose puts this one right on the edge of being an imperial stout isn’t really noticeable. It’s medium to full bodied and if you like coffee like I do, extremely enjoyable. Drink it slow, let it warm and enjoy.
