Poured from bomber dark brown, nearly black, little to no foamy head. Aroma of coffee, chocolates, hops and a bit of vanilla. Flavour much of the same, rich texture, solid yet liquidly sticky. Yes, definatley a stout, however somewhat hybrid, well made beer. perfect for cold nights, sitting out back with fire and sausages. Looking down at wifes nice apple ass and knowing that its yers to tap. Perhaps not an ’’imperial’’ beer, but very well made, quite drinkable.

This is a good coffee brew, but not nearly in the same category as the Bells, Founders, or Terrapin coffee offerings. The palate is a little thin for me, and I felt like the roast could have been a little bolder. I’m a big fan of espresso though, so I might be a little bias.

Black with red cast when held to a strong light. Aroma of cocoa and coffee. Modest tan head good amount of lacings. Tastes of strong rich coffee, some cocoa, trace of vanilla. Sweet dark roasted malts, long bitter finish. Good warming brew partly due to high abv that is well masked.

Smells of malts and coffee. Looks like coffee. Tastes like a bitter coffee. I like it. The color has a tinge of lightness to it. I’d buy this again.

Pours a thin black color with a hint of ruby and a faint tan head. Smells of roasted malts, coffee, and slight licorice. Tastes much the same along with a bit of powdered cocoa and maple syrup. Unevenly flavored, yet satisfyingly sweet.

Big coffee smell and big coffee taste. Amazed I like this one so much considering I don’t like coffee.

Poured from bomber a dark brown with medium-sized tan head. Aroma is powdered cocoa, dark fruit, roast grain, and coffee. Flavor is bittersweet chocolate, dark roasted coffee, some dark plum, yeast, and a mild graininess. The palate is mildly tart and sweet with a slight alcohol warmth. Easy to drink, so nice flavors, good but not great. I’d buy it again.

Pours thin, light brown color, with virtually no head. Nose is coffee, malt, and alcohol. Taste is like a weird artificial coffee flavor. I can’t say I’d pick this up again. Not enough body for a stout, but it still has grown on me a bit.
