| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 18, 2008 Bomber. Pours a nice brown-black with small beige head. The aroma is bitter chocolate and roasty coffee, with some sweet caramel hints in there, too. The flavor is slightly bitter roastiness, with a rather subtle real coffee note. There is some chalky chocolate in there, too. Mild caramel and brown sugar sweetness lurks in the background. The finish is oddly bitter, in a seemingly out-of-place hoppy way. The coffee comes back in the aftertaste, though. Not a bad brew. tennisjoel (949), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 17, 2008 Thanks to McBeer for bringing this to a tasting. Dark brown pour. Not as coffee dominated as the Devil over a Barrel. Bitter flavor. Carbonation is high. Somewhat astringent flavor. Some chocolate, vanilla, cream, and cocoa flavors surface as this gets warmer. Decent enough. Nothing memorable however. dkachur (2395), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Aroma of roasted coffee and brown sugar. Taste is very much the same. Bitter finish, medium body. kseecs16 (887), Naperville, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 12, 2008 Bottle. Dark brown, slightly translucent against light with a very thing off-white head. Minimal laing. Aroma of stale raost coffee. Flavor is nice, dry raost coffee and a balance sweet body. Thin in the mouth and fizzy. MadIndian (997), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 10, 2008 A pretty easy drinking stout with a heavy dose of coffee that is appropriate hence the title. tgncc (824), Bellmore, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 9, 2008 Nice aroma, mainly roasted coffee, molasses, alcohol. Appearance is dark brown, but surprisingly a little thin, with a foamy off white head. Nice flavor, coffee, chocolate. Thick mouthfeel. The palate is more sweet with chocolate than bitter from coffee. Good stout overall. joekfsu (138), Boardman, Ohio, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | May 9, 2008 22 oz bottle. Pours opaque black with 1 cm of tan head that diminishes somewhat quickly. Aroma of coffee dominates but some chocolate comes through as it continues to warm. Initial flavor dominated by the bitter coffee. Flavor more balanced towards the end as the chocolate comes in to make it more even. Aftertaste is still slightly bitter and lasts. Light carbonation, limited lacing, medium body, and some alcohol noted. Drinkability is pretty good, better than some other coffee stouts and better than its current score suggests.
