Flavor is pretty similar; the main flavors being the roasted malt and coffee. Nothing too harsh, and it was enjoyable. demitriustown (708), Shelby Township, Michigan, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 28, 2007 Bomber: Aroma is chocolate a bit of coffee bean but not really over the top. Pours a deep black with a huge sized tan head that lingers. Taste is nice coffee ground taste ,lighter chocolate notes, caramel, and almost a roasted nuttiness to this brew. Palate is somewhat lively, not much carbonation, with some definite coffee notes. Overall, It’s good but I like coffee and this has a milder coffee texture than I really like. desurfer (1069), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA

Bitter, sweet and roasty with the usual coffee and chocolate notes found in stronger stouts. Alcohol fairly noticeable. Glouglouburp (2887), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 28, 2007 Updated: Apr 30, 2009In short: A cross between a roasted stout and a cup of black coffee. Nice for what it is.
How: Bottle 22oz. A few times fresh. On tap (Willimantic)
The look: Black body topped by a beige ring of foam
In long: Strong coffee flavour that tastes more like a cup of black coffee than roasted coffee beans. Some burnt toasts and caramelized roasted nuts. Almost nothing in the way fruitiness. A rather dry beer. When I had it on tap I thought it was superior (3.5) and it felt more roasted and dryer. Simple and effective coffee session stout that will please everybody. Except those who do not like the Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout. mmmbeer (765), Austin, Texas, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 28, 2007 Pint bottle poured into my trusty pint glass- poured non transparent light black, nice bubbly and foamy off white head and stayed. Aroma of roasted malt with hints of dark chocolate, coffee, and toffee. Hits the mouth with a wide defined body, coffee qualities come through from start to finish, a few hops on the finish which is stark. A wouldn’t mind having a cigar with this one. Aroma is heavy malt (coffee, chocolate, toasted grain), light hops (flowers), average yeast (leather) with notes of dark fruit and wood. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. Long duration, average sweetness, acidity and bitterness. Cobra (1066), In a van, down by the river, Maryland, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 27, 2007 Excitingly average, but good. 22 oz. brown bomber bottle. No freshness date seen. Poured out a deep chocolate brown with red highlights. Aromas are of espresso beans with some roasted malts mixed in. Some chocolate aromas as well. Flavors are of a chocolate stout mixed with coffee. Not much in the way of hops.
Decent mouthfeel, kind of slick. Finished somewhat dry. Decent beer overall, but nothing to write home about. VikingHammer (363), Lynnfield, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Dec 26, 2007 Lack with amber highlights with a samll light brown head. Coffee and Chocolate aroma. Bitter coffee and some chocolate. Not to balanced. Medium bodied. Not to impressed. I did drink it after a dogfish world wide, so what can you expect.
