Dark brown to opaque black in color with large off-white/beige head. Aroma of cold coffee with chocolate, sweet roasted malt. Sweet creamy coffee, with sweet milk chocolate, mild bittering hops. Medium body that is fairly chunky. Not half bad, actually kind of good. drfabulous (1275), Columbia, Missouri, USA

pours a dark brown with a ruby tint when held up to the light, small creamy tan head that goes away quickly, nice lacing.
smell is sweet, coffee, malt, cocoa, touch of vanilla, and a touch of caramel.
taste is smooth, malt, dark chocolate, a small touch of coffee, some caramel, a touch of roasted nuts, ends slightly bitter and somewhat dry. Delirium (502), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 11, 2007 Updated: Dec 13, 2007Bomber. Pours black with a dense brown head. Aroma is sweet malt and vanilla, plus burnt coffee, roasted malt, and alcohol. Flavor is sweet and creamy up front, moving to a lot of roasted malt, coffee, bit of background sourness reminiscent of cold/stale coffee, plus bitter chocolate in the finish. Like with most coffee stouts I have mixed opinions on this one, despite being a big fan of both stouts and coffee when separate. Decent, but also has rather many off flavors, between the somewhat cloying creamy sweetness on the one hand, and the extreme roastiness and cold coffee taste on the other. sickassmick (82), Concord, California, USA

Had it from the bottle but wish I could have done this on tap. Very thick and creamy and sweet. Definately not a beer I could have more than a couple of at a time, and pretty expensive (22oz for $4) at Safeway. I’ve always been a fan of laggy’s and stout was the first style I was in love with. I can’t say anything bad about it. Not much of that soy sauce saltyness. I’ll take this over a milkshake all day. ReRate: This is my stout of choice by far. Sweet, thick.... but the joy is in the hops afterward... wow an amazing beer and 8.3 for a drunk like me!?!?!? I still can’t believe this bomber costs more than five bucks after crv.... worth it! best stout I’ve had so far!!!!!!!i’m going back to give this beer perfect five because it’s all I dream of in beer. GRUB.
