07 bottle. Pours dark brown with an off-white head. Nose is coffee, roast, some sweetness, and a flavor to match with a bit of coffee everywhere. Finishes with some hop/ coffee bitterness. Interesting beer, but not as sweet as I would have imagined.

From bottle, 26-APR-2009 Very nice dark brown colour that just lets the sun through. Clearly coffee aroma, quite roasted. Sweet coffee taste, a little oily but far from being full or heavy. It is actually very easy drinking.

07 bottle. Pours black, beige head. Aroma is malty, coffee, roast, light. Taste, light body, coffee/mocha, thin bitter finish with some hops, bitter chocolate and definitely some abv to be noted.

Pours deep brown/amber. Lots of roasty coffee in the nose. Taste is sweet sugars, caramel, toffee and loads of coffee. Smooth finish. I made a ice cream float with this once. Awesome.

Bottle courtesy of Tampa Tasting Group -- Part of a blind coffee tasting. Pours a dark brown to black with a thin tan head. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of roast coffee, vanilla, caramel, honey, some slight spice. Flavor is sweet and creamy with notes of coffee, chocolate, roast, hints of smoke and vanilla. Generally medium to full body with a pleasing coffee finish.

Pours a dark black with a mild creamy head. Strong coffee overtones with a hint of vanilla and caramel. Overall an excellent beer and with its mild price tag I will buy this one again.

Pours a nice dark opaque amber/brown with a small head the diminishes to a ring that leaves subtle lacing. Aroma dominated by coffee as expected, but nice notes of toffee and chocolate. Flavor is again coffee dominated, but there was more malty sweetness and smokey chocolate in the finish than I expected, though I definitely liked it. The malt sticks around for just a touch after swallowing, too. As mentioned before, this is very much a dry stout finish, not too heavy a mouthfeel. Overall a solid outing, even if a little on the lighter side.
