Commercial Description:
This ale contains no actual copper but we're pretty literal... It looked coppery, so we lamely called it a copper ale. Lots'a nice caramel malt though... Alcohol 5.9% by volume

A decent beer but doesn’t really live up to Lagunitas in my mind (one of my favorite breweries overall). It’s fairly straightforward with a nice balance of malt and hop--very drinkable but nothing remarkable like I expect from them.

Fantastic hoppy smell, great strong flavors of sugar and caramelized sugar, but not as strong as Mackeson or Dragon Stout. Slight hoppy bitterness to it. This beer has many good things going for it.

As the beer fills the glass a small tan head forms and then assimilates into the clear copper color of the brew. Scents of grass and barley rise up. The impact upon sipping sparkles with a bite.Medium bodied, mildly carbonated and crisp, Lagunitas Censored Copper Ale goes down smooth with an excellent balance of sweets and bitters. This beer is tasty without being overly ambitious

Poured copper with a smaller off-white head. Sweet aroma, floral notes and hops. Taste is sweet and slightly creamy up front. Fruity notes. Finish is slightly bitter. Pretty good!

Heavy orange pour. Small head, fruity aroma but not overpowering. Slight hints of fruit with a hoppy finish.

Bottle. Pours clear copper with a small off-white head. Aroma is typical amber---sweet malt with a bit of floral fruitiness. Flavor is a bit more robust, fruity caramel malt with a moderate hoppy finish. A pretty decent amber/brown ale.

stealing from a previous review: whats the point? average and not a fan of the hoppy finish (even though it wasn’t strong)
