Commercial Description:
This ale contains no actual copper but we're pretty literal... It looked coppery, so we lamely called it a copper ale. Lots'a nice caramel malt though... Alcohol 5.9% by volume

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a very small white head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is a sweet fruit malt with raisin and floral notes. The taste is a rich caramel malt with dark fruit and a dry finish. A good American Strong Ale from Lagunitas. Kronik for my 420th rating.

pous amber with white head. Aroma of sweet malts with caramel nose. Taste along the line sof the arome with brown sugar feel, a lighter version of Brown Shugga, caramel hops with light touch of floral hops and spices. Damn tasty for such low abv.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a thin head, with nice lacing, over a coppery, slightly orange body.....nose of malts, bit of hops with a strong canned tomato over tone.....taste is very similar with early caramelly malts, accompanied by balancing hops grapefruit tones, and then there is canned tomato juice....mouth feel is toward the light side of medium. Do tomato and grapefruit go together??

Orangey copper color, thin head. Weak aroma - caramelized; orange zest? Light bodied, easy drinking. Toasty flavors. I don’t quite see the point.

Looks like an ordinary brown. Smells of caramel and earth. Flavor is malty with a strange but pleasant licorice note. Chewy finish, pleasant.

Poured a copper brown with a small white head. Smells of malts caramel and slightly metallic. Taste is caramel, malts, hops, and is very slightly bitter. Very good beer.
