| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 10, 2008 12 oz bottle from New Seasons - This is a really good beer! I’m not sure I would consider it a strong ale, though, especially at 5.9% ABV. I’d drink this one again! ekstedt (2446), Göteborg, Sweden
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 9, 2008 Bottle (35 cl) from Ølbutikken. Hazy light copper with medium tan head. Nutty and fudgy malt aroma with some madeira notes, along with spicy and herbal hops. Medium bodied and smooth. Very well balanced. nimbleprop (929), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 8, 2008 12oz bottle pours a clear, effervescent, copper amber with a sudsy white head. Mild nose has aromas of cracker and biscuit, some metal, some citrus, and cookie dough. Flavor repeats many thing from the nose, crackers, biscuits, cookie dough with some added sweetness or toffee and something that strikes me as mineraly. Finish is slightly buttery which is nice. Pretty good, but also pretty standard. Cabeero (15), Thornton, Colorado, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jul 7, 2008 When first poured, this beer shows promise. As the name suggest it looks coppery, bright, and metallic, so clear, in fact, that I can actually make out the reflections of objects in the room where I am drinking it. Appearance is far and away this beer’s best attribute. At colder temperatures the nose has strong citrus notes, lemon and grapefruit. As the beer warms, alcohol and honey and copper emerge as the dominant smells. The flavor is weak and undefined, hops and malt both fight to lead, but neither flavor has the strength to stand out. It’s a great beer to start out a night of tasting with, because it’s complex enough to stimulate your palate, but it leaves plenty of opportunities for other beers to shine. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 3, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours copper of course with an off-white head. Looks good aroma is good with malt, caramel, toffee and some hops. Unfortunatly this beer when down him from there. Flavor is metalic with faint hints of caramel malts, toffee, raisans and some malasses. Needs a nice dose of hops. Maybe this is an old bottle but ratings dont reflect that.
