Commercial Description:
This ale contains no actual copper but we're pretty literal... It looked coppery, so we lamely called it a copper ale. Lots'a nice caramel malt though... Alcohol 5.9% by volume

Pours... copper. Aroma,... sugary caramel malt. Flavor is piney hops with a strange grainy mouthfeel. Not too impressed with this guy.

Apple cider and Carmel aromas. Smells sweet and metallic, brown sugar. Sugary malts up front, piney perfume hops in mid, finishs with warm flavors of carmel and spicy hops. Palate is astringent with a decent malty mouthfeel.

A cooper pour into the pint glass as you could imagine. A small head that fades very quickly. A malty sugar like aroma and taste on the tongue at first. I am not pulling too much carmel out of it as they suggest. I guess it is ’censored’ here as well and that is why I post this here. Slightly bitter but very smooth and slightly creamy. A good red ale but not the best.

This, I guess, is also the Kronic, however, it’s being sold here in the East as "Lagunitas Censored Rich Copper Ale". It’s a perfect copper color, medium head, toward a while cream with medium bubbles. Medium hop coverage, while having a nice smooth (slightly sweet) malt. Pretyt pleasant, and wouldn’t mind seeing this on tap somewhere. Nice bite on the sides on your tongue. A little creamy, kind of like your standard pub ale, on the tongue. (Bottle Pour 5/12/2008)

By no means is this the Kronik, but it still is a heady beer. Rich and full of malted sweetness, this beer has a lot of character, and a decent head in every pour. Pours a bright copper colour, with aromas of caramel, honey and almonds. fairly tastey.

Cask @ Bittercreek - Rich coppery brown with a nice small white head, served @ 50 degrees. Aroma of malt, brown sugar, slight hop florals. Taste was smooth and and a nice hop bite on the front end, finished with no carbonation and a residual caramel nuance....pretty fun on cask, way better that the bottle...

Bottle pours clear copper with thin quick disapating white head. Aroma is faint malt. First taste is sweet malt which dominates throughout the whole beer. There is a slight hops finish. Nice carbonation and wattery mouthfeel. Very well balanced.
