Alot of fruits and caramel. Tasty. The aroma has a little citrus to it behind a mostly malty nose. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 25, 2007 OG 1.065, 5.9% abv version: Clear copper pour with a ring of foam on top. The nose offers an abundance of caramel sweetness, a touch of diacetyl and a nice touch of piney hops. The nose expands on these themes, noting richer caramel, raisans, overripe banana and overbaked bread. The finish is adequately hoppy with lots of grapefruit and orange rind to balance the sweetness. This epitomizes the session beer. Snojerk321 (1981), San Diego, California, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Sep 19, 2007 Bottle. Moderate malt notes of roasted and nutty, moderate spruce for the hops, and the yeast had a light broth aroma with raisin, port and toffee in the background the it got a little boozy after it warmed. Head is small, fizzy, white with no lacing and mostly diminished. Color is clear copper. Nice balance in the flavor with moderate sweetness and light acidity to start then finishes lightly sweet and moderarely acidic and bitter. It has a perfect mouthfeel with a medium body, creamy texture and a lively carbonation. It finishes slightly dry. An excellent everyday drinking beer. talon1117 (623), Bellvue, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 18, 2007 Pours a clear orange-amber with a fairly small, off-white, frothy head which is mostly diminishing and leaves minimal lace. Nose is fairly bland with toasted notes, caramel, and a faint spicy hop presence. Sweet, rich caramels make up most of the flavor with some light fruity notes, nutty hints, and traces of molasses. Flavor dries out a bit and carries just enough bitterness. Palate is medium, soft to lively, and almost a bit syrupy in texture. Finishes still sweet and a bit dry but with the hops almost balancing the sweet malt notes with some spicy, herbally notes and a lingering presence of citrus? Interesting and unlike other beer, it doesn’t really fit into a specific category. Not complex but quite drinkable and enjoyable. ucusty (1887), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 14, 2007 Bottle. 12 fl. oz. A reddish-copper color with frothy off-white head. Fruity, hoppy aroma with some sweet, malty caramel as well. Light to medium bodied with a nice, smooth texture. Pretty sweet flavor all around but does have some dry bitterness towards the finish. A good beer, but had to switch to something else after two or three as the sweetness became too much for me.
