Color is that of darker iced tea. Taste is a little on the strong side. Yes it has those copper ale hints but the alky bitter bite just overwehlms this brew. The alky listed here is 5.9% but oin the bottle it is 7.7%. Seems more like the 7.7% in the flavors. most of the ASAs I’ve had have not been to enjoyable. This one is right there with the rest. Decently creamy carbonation. The flavors of this brew are a little too much for my girlie taste buds. Finish is lingering medium mild bitterness that hangs for quite a while on the back of the palate. As good as Legacy Hedonism, Flying Dog Imperial Porter and Great Lakes Nosferatu. fishingnet (1047), Brandon, Florida, USA

Pous a brilliant copper with a small but lasting off-white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is caramel malt, floral hops, pine hops, and sweet malt. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a well balanced bitterness. Very good every day beer. shrubber85 (2982), Wallhalben, Germany

Amber color with a small head. Caramel malt flavor - moderate pine hops with a hint of alcohol. A nice, easy-drinking beer. mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 3, 2007 Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a small light tan head. Mild malts and some hops are present although nothing is profound in the smell. Maybe a little sweet citrus is present as well. The taste is much livelier, with a profound malty sweetness, with more of a hoppy finish. This beer is very well balanced in its flavor characters and very rich and full on the palate. Just a slight bitterness in the aftertaste which was more sweet. Ramenen (456), San Salvador, El Salvador
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 1, 2007 Thanks to Juancho. Pours into a "copper" color with a medium head. Very well balanced between the malt and the hops, and it hides very well the high alcohol content. Grandpa (325), Verona, New York, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 28, 2007 Updated: Aug 26, 2007On tap at Taco Mac. Pored to a deep amber color with thick off-white head that lasted long and left very good lacing up and down the glass. Pleasant malty aroma blended with a touch of citrusy hops. Mouthfeel was full and tingly, and the taste was a continuation of the malt-hop blend.
This all led to a finish that was long and good. This was another very fine offering by Lagunitas. redlight (1492), Winter Park, Florida, USA
