| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 16, 2007 Sugary sweet malt and flowery hop in aroma, taste is like sucker sugar poured into wort that fades into a cherry sucker aftertaste and some hop bitterness in the finish, kind of confusing, not sure what the brewer was going for, its tolerable EithCubes (2146), Indiana, USA

Stone-ish combination of hops and malt in the nose - emphasis on the sticky hops. Pours copper-amber with a lacing eggshell head. Very bitter taste, light grass and bread notes with prominent caramel. Touches of sweet flashing around, but, on the whole, rather dry. Body is medium-full and hoppy/dry. Dark, eathy, nutty finish. Straightforward, well-made, and enjoyable. TheBeerCollector (548), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

I’m not sure what a copper ale is supposed to taste like but the hops and malts seem to battle each other from start to finish in this one. Not sure about this one. hogan873 (330), Joliet, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 11, 2007 Tasty! Pours a deep copper with a small creamy head. Malt and sweet in the aroma. Not especially heacvy on the palate, but well balanced. A lot of flavor. Some sweetness for sure (brown sugar, caramel?). Big malt. Finishes fairly smooth for the high alcohol content. pet3rman (206), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Copper indeed with good, foamy white head / Malt, hop and citrus nose / Medium, malty body, somewhat sweet, with chewy, hoppy finish / Forward sour malt and caramel flavors with undertones of orange peel and lemon and candied sugar finish / Better classified as an amber ale. Great balance - substantial while light and refreshing.
