May 23, 2007 Aroma is full of caramel, some bread, nutty and raisin. Deep amder color, small tan head that dissipates quickly. Big fruity sweetness with some hay and bready undertones. Bitterness is almost as heavy but leans toward the malt. Big body and a little hot. Overall a decent American Strong.

May 23, 2007 Beer has body, it is indeed rich. Copper in color as well, alcohol taste is present but smooth. Big Caramel, and slight piney taste. Carbonation is moderate which makes it real smooth. Really good brew, cheers Lagunitas.

May 14, 2007 Aroma of malt underlaid by pine? Polished copper color with no real head. Full mouthfeel. Starts with pine hop balanced by malt. It turns a bit citrus towards the end. Dryish. Very nice balance of malt and bitter in the finish. This has quite a character, but it’s like one flavor mix from start to finish. Very tasty.

May 10, 2007 This was really fuckin good, in a really fuckin subtle way. Not quite enough balls for my taste, but I appreciate the quality of the brew. Some idiots complain about the label....who gives a fuck??? To anybody who bitches and moans about the label on this beer, try to censor this: FUCK YOU!

May 7, 2007 Ok, what is censured here? This is a great looking beer with a nice late forming head with a reddish color. Body is indeed copper color. Commercial description says this beer is dominated by malt but I note hops as dominant. It even seems quite close to an IPA. It is very smooth drinking and there is just enough malt to take the edge off the hops. Very tart finish. It is a very nice beer and It could easily pass for an IPA.

May 5, 2007 Pours a clear red-amber with a one finger off white head that dissipates quickly but leaves moderate lacing. Aroma is sweet malts and brown sugar. Taste is sweet carmel malts and brown sugar with the perfect blend of hops to keep it from being too sweet. Remarkable. Creamy and moderately thick mouthfeel is extremely nice. Infinitely drinkable. A real pleasure and probably the best american red beer I have had to this point.

May 2, 2007 12 oz. bottle...nothing spectacular, but still an enjoyable beer. Not much to the aroma, medium body, smooth finish and mouthfeel...flavor was a little caramel, fruit, toasted malts. Nice level of carbonation...Average brew.

Apr 30, 2007 Bottle. Poured copper with thin white head. Aroma of malt and nuts. Strong malty flavour. Quick finish with a little alcohol.
