The aroma was that of caramel hops and roasted malt. The mouthfeel was full bodied and left a smooth hoppy aftertaste. Overall a very good ale, most definitely would buy again. graham515 (434), Houston, Texas, USA

Aroma is sweet with lots of dark fruit. Flavor is somewhat sweet with caramel and plum. Almost has a dubbel quality to it. Really nice beer. Trev (887), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA

Pours a beautifully, clear copper color with a frothy off-white head that gradually dissipates to a thin layer but lasts throughout. Decent lacing. Lots of caramel malt in the aroma. Flavor is initially very sweet, caramel maltiness followed by a nice hoppy bitterness which gives a nice balance. Not cloying, at all. Medium Bodied. Long, slightly dry finish. Very nice. ben4321 (1041), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Aroma: All I can smell is some caramel malts with a little fruit too
Appearance: Clear dark copper color, almost no head
Flavor: Sweet flavor, lots of malts, almost no hops here
Palate: Medium body, very smooth beer
Overall Impression:
This one was decent but not great, its got a good flavor to it, not a lot of balance...

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 18, 2009 This poured an obvious copper color with a slighlty off white head. Aroma was some malts, caraml and not much else, pretty bland. Flavor was sweet caramel slghtly roasted with hints of bittering hops as well. Fairly boring but nothing bad about it. Yum, yum, yummy aroma mild hops, mild roasted malts, caramel, some coffee but very faint. Overall nice stink to the beer sweet smooth and mouth watering good. Nice crisp beer it has a nice hop presence without dominating the flavour. Some chocolate not to bitter, with smooth fully flavored roasted malts. Oh man I could drink these all night. Rich full smooth flavour that’s so smooth and rich, the rich smoothness is making me feel rich and smooth. Beer starting to deteriorate when warm getting some random vegetables now with a toffee after taste. Burnt marshmallow, ya that’s right I went there. this review is rambling and makes little to no sense but the beer is good. my marks seem way to high"
