Suttree (2289), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Apr 28, 2008 Coppery red, beige head. Big caramel nose, with a nice hop bite, too. Smooth and tasty - brown sugar, caramel and toffee, with a mellow hop finish. I could drink a lot of this...

Pours a nice looking clear deep amber with minimal off-white head....Nice aroma of caramel. Flavor is very nice, medium sweet caramel, hop’s, with a nice strong bitter. Mouthfeel is med.-full body and med-high carbonation. Overall, pretty enjoyable. dwaggs2 (93), Warrensburg, Missouri, USA Aug 31, 2008 Bottle. Pours a cooper color with a small white head. The aroma is friut and hops. The flavor is sweet and rich. Tastes like fruit. Doesn’t taste like alcohol at all to be called an American strong ale. A decent beer though emacgee (1054), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Aug 30, 2008 Pours a dark copper with a two finger creamy yellow head. The nose is heavy on the malt, sweet, caramel, candy, fruity, some citrusy hops, smells like an english BW. The flavor is rich, sweet and malty, light grapefruit rind, earthy malt character, slightly peaty. Mouthfeel could be beefed up and the alcohol shows slightly. Drinkable. mar (574), Dallas, Texas, USA Aug 28, 2008 amber, ruby pour with a thin cream head that dissipates fairly fast. light citrus hop scent along with some figs and malts. good thickness on the palate with a smooth citrus hop bite and a nice malty finish.
