Wonderful smell. Poured thick and dark with a small, creamy head. Tastes rich and roasted. Definitly worth it. forsides (73), union, New Jersey, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 4, 2009 Purchased 22-oz bomber from Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear dark cola brown brew with a thick beige head that has great retention and lacing. Aroma of smoked caramel and chocolate dark malt, a hint of white pepper, cinnamon, white raisin and some vanilla. Taste is medium to full bodied, flavors of roasted dark malt, some chocolate, vanilla, white pepper and Christmas spice. Finish is semi-dry with a roasted dark malt aftertaste with very little bitterness. illidurit (889), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Feb 4, 2009 Pour: Bomber into nonic. Dark brown, close to black. Mahogany when backlit. One finger of light tan head. Decent retention, little lacing.
Nose: Aromas of milk chocolate, cocoa, cinnamon, and raisin bread.
Mouth: Milk chocolate and sweet cream up front. Midpalate is full of black and white pepper, with a tinge of spiciness. Finish is dry and roasty. Not a very robust beer but it hides the alcohol well. Medium body, easy to drink, but hardly flavorful enough to compare with regular stouts, much less imperial ones. Dickinsonbeer (3490), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 3, 2009 Bomber. Pours a deep dark clear brown with amber highlights and a massive lasting glistening tan head- nice lace. Aroma is spicy peppery and a nice earthy hop character but subtleto go with a good chocoalte malt backbone. Flavor seems a bit weak and strays from a stout character- more psicy phenolic herbal peppery, some hitns of vanilla and harsh herbal hops, yet the body and finish seem pretty smooth overall yet finishes somewhat on the thin side for a big stout. Easy drinking, but not great. Got a wicked headache from drinking this whole bottle though. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 3, 2009 (22oz bottle) Small beige head atop cola black body. Aroma is medium sweet, milk chocolate, some pepper, roast, light vanilla. Taste is moderately sweet, milk chocolate, some coffee/roast, light pepper/alcohol. Low carbonation, silky medium body. Alcohol surprisingly well contained, making this quite drinkable. zappafan99 (462), South Carolina, USA

Aroma: Smoke and sweet malt. Taste: Smoky, sweet and a little dry. Drinkable darkness. Alcohol only comes across below the tongue in a sparkle. a bit of stickiness and grape cough syrup. Lagunitas is always good per ounce/per dollar. My screenname is zappafan99...but no extra points for coolness. Swalden28 (1509), McKinney, Texas, USA
