The beer as it warms a bit in the glass a nebulous orange-amber color with the head super massive, frothy in texture and a winsome light tan in color. Nose has a hop floral front with a nice slightly sweet malt backing, lime like in its crispness, also a hint of fresh pine needles when you rub them between the palms of your hand and they give you a fresh and clean aroma, quite appealing to the senses, especially if your one of those “Tree Hugger Types”! Start is rich in malt, sweet and the top fair to middling in feel, finish has whacking hop presence, spicy and potent with the acidity middling and the aftertaste dry and bittersweet, quite a treat and more like and “Imperial IPA” than a “Strong Ale”, but “No Matter” the name a damn fine drinking beer IMHO.

Bottle: 10th anniversary. Skunky sweet yeasty nose. Orange yellow color. Bitter citrus hops with a milder, I would of expected more by the name, malt backbone. Leaves a grapefruit bitterness on tounge at end. Tasty, like to try one fresh someday, mught have been old judging by the comments of others. I didn't get the big hoppy nose most got.

Bottle. Great hoppy aroma on top of an orange beer. The first taste is a huge presence of hops, but there's enough body to stand up to it and leave a slightly sweet presence that again fades to hops and a high alcohol presence. It does have a slight sharpness, but otherwise a bit of grapefruit and pine. A fantastic strong IPA.

Wonderful glowing orange color, slightly hazy, with a large off-white head. The aroma was pure hops...pine tone dominated with a mix of citrus fruits. The flavor was again dominated by the wonderful piney hops bitterness, but had a solid malty sweet character to round things out...alcohol present in the aftertaste. The feel was thick, creamy, and sharp on the tongue. This reminds me of a great west coast IPA...almost perfect in that respect.

Appearance: This pours cloudy orange/brown w/ a fluffy head. Aroma: Lots of citrusy hops are in the aroma, along with some spiciness. Flavor: Citrus, hops spice, lots of different flavors. This is a very nice and tasty brew. It is very enjoyable.

Pours a murky, soft brown with very little head. There is a lot of nutty flavors in this - bordering on licking peanut butter of an old, metal knife. Citrus bite as the bubbles play havoc with my tongue. Not as hoppy as I expected but good.

Glowing copper. Streaming carbonation, form a pillowy, lasting head. Aroma stongly hoppy(grapefruit, flowers), somewhat malty, and metallic. Mouthfeel is a too fizzy, but settles and becomes thick(near syrupy). Texture is smooth, and body is pretty big. Flavor is mainly malty(toasted, caramel),with bitterness hitting the sides of the mouth. Finish starts floral and ends malty/toasty. The alcohol becomes noticable when it warms to about the 60deg range. Some very spicy hop burps. Really does taste like a strong Ipa. Not a bad one at that. Thanks mitch!
