mwelsh13 (177), Maryland, USA Oct 3, 2008 12 oz bottle pours deep golden almost orange in color with a rocky head. Great citrus aroma (love the simcoe). Slightly sweet body with a light bitterness that is grassy. Nice middle of the road pale ale. ilovedarkbeer (754), Dallas, Texas, USA Oct 3, 2008 Golden orange color with a small soapy head. Nice nose of caramelized pears, and the dusty sort of fresh ground malt that I adore. Medium mouthfeel, with some citrus, some spicy piney hops, and apricots. Highly quaffable due to the texture. BMan1113VR (896), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California, USA Oct 1, 2008 Bottle thanks to ilovedarkbeer. Solid and strong pale ale, that really blends the lines between a regular pale and an IPA. Pours with a white fizzy head with a clear color that can best be described as scotch with a dash of water. Hops and hops and hops in the aroma, both spicy and dank, with some light caramelized malt. Taste is very sweet with melons, pears, and apricots. Water like mouthfeel, lightly fizzy. jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Sep 27, 2008 on tap-pours a thin white head that laces and amber color. Aroma is grapefruit. Taste is nice grapefruit, medium malt-caramel. Bitter then offset by sweet. Mild/minimum carbonation. harrisoni (5331), Ashford, Kent, England Sep 21, 2008 Bottle at Gavlen Bar, Copenhagen. I wrote down it was Pale Ale at 6.4%, but the label was different. Pretty sure it is this. Drank with Reakt sat at the bar and the two of us just stared at the beer in wonder. Gold, slight haze. Ang warned me this was good and it is. Wow. The hop, intense, really flavourful hop. Decent pale malts. Sherberty hop finish. Automatically one of my favourite all time US beers. Stunningly well balanced. Creamy in mouth.
