| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 13, 2007 12 ounce bottle purchased at the Davis Food Co-Op. Some citrus, orange hoppy aroma is initially apparent before some malty cereal-like aromas take over. A bit musty. Transparent golden-orange body with a billowing, frothy, white head. Light astringency to start, becoming quite soapy and rather odd. Weird malty mouthfeel in the middle. Some hoppy tannins then take over later on with some herbal hops. A bit metallic, too. I don’t know...this soapy mouthfeel and flavor is just making this tough to drink. alexanderj (2281), Chino Hills, California, USA

Flavor was subtle and decent. Caramel, citrus, with a lot of grassy hoppiness. Pretty solid hop presence. Palate was average; overall it was enjoyable, but forgettable. mmmbeer (765), Austin, Texas, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 25, 2007 Archetypical APA gold, moderate head formation. Visually, a dead ringer for SNPA. Aroma is quite subdued. Light flowery, peachy hops, light caramel. I even get a little bit of something that smells like oak, although that can’t be right. Flavor is initially fairly malty, which then segues into hairspray hops and maple syrup. Weird. Clean doughy maltiness, quite explicit EtOH presence. Metallic notes in the finish, substantial, well-crafted bitterness. Sharp carbonation. There are a few things I like quite a bit about this one, but a lot of weird aspects too that knock it down a bit.
