Taste is very straightforward-floral and hoppy with a lemony bite. Very nice. Tastes like an IPA light. Finish is a little bitter and very mellow. Best APA I have ever had, next to Sierra Nevada. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 3, 2004 (12-ounce bottle) This is actually a pretty nice APA, which shouldn’t be surprising since Lagunitas does a solid job with their other beers; Fairly malty, moderately sweet and quite fruity (peach/sweet apricot) for the style with a mildly bitter hops that balances the beer somewhat, allowing the malt to show some dominance; Slightly toasty late in the finish; Nice, malty nose is minimally hoppy; Light golden color and slightly hazy, and the bottle sediment indicatess some modest bottle conditioning; Whitish head drops down to a sheen with some large bubbles, but leaves a modest amount of lacing Hoss (602), Florida, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 6, 2004 Color, a clear, pale apricot, adorned with a fresh, fluffy, off-white head.
Nose is soft, airy, citric, and just a little complex.
Taste: yeasty at the onset, fruity, with a generous helping of hops at the front, pleasing the tongue and all the corners of the mouth, gently fading, though the finish is tasty and long. Well-balanced, very smooth and drinkable, friendly, and delicious. 5000 (2455), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 2, 2004 Bottle pours hazy amber, small white frothish head, light lacing, and even lighter carbonation. Slight citrus & malts on the nose. Grapefruit, hops, and slight pine up front. A nice malty bitterness comes forth in the middle and runs through to the finish. Slight pine in the aftertaste. Light, decent bodied, non-offensive APA.
