| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 18, 2008 aroma is sour wheat, sawdust and slighly acid. appears amber, small white head, flavor is "homebrew" like. sawdust, slight fruity notes (peach or apricot), kinda blanced mid, but strong hops. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 29, 2008 Pours a golden amber color with a lingering off-white froth. Aroma is very strong hops consisting of pine. pineapple and citrus. Some definite sweet caramel malts in there as well. Flavor starts out very sweet and mildly hoppy. The hops then become much stronger and more bitter as they overwhelm that pineapple juice sweetness that started. Finishes with a nice hop oil flavor that just sits on the tongue for awhile. Medium-full body and average carbonation. This beer was like Sierra Nevada but malltier and better balanced. I was very surprised about this beer, excellent stuff.
