Pours a hazy gold color with a large head that dimishes quickly. Decent lacing. Aroma is quite grainy. Agree with BierBauch regarding the Strong Ale classification...it's more like a pale or even a wheat. The flavor is nicely balanced. Some sweetness, some hops, and some oat flavor. Body is thin and watery. Not a bad beer and the oats make it quite interesting.

Sligtly hazy golden ale with thick head that laces the glass. Has a sweet grainy aroma and a subtle hop presance. Don't get the Strong Ale classification here, this is more of a pale ale in my opinion. Oats really come out in the flavor making this a deliciously refreshing ale. Hop bitterness is way in the background letting the malt stand out in flavor. Nice enjoyable ale and worth trying once or twice.

Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin), lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.

Aroma? Smells great! Appearance? What can you compare it to? Flavor? Very refreshing with a great body and very refreshing. Palate? Again,... what do you compare it to? Overall Impression? I think it's a great beer. I can definitely taste the oats but they are not overpowering. Low in hop bitterness but high in aroma and flavor. A very well-balanced ale!

Slightly cloudy golden color, this brew came bursting out of the bottle after the cap came off.The head was small and short lived.Malty aroma with a slight sweet side possible fruit and hops.Malty sweet taste that you can actually pick up the oats taste, slightly fruity of which kind i'm unsure.the hops show up quite well and the feel is smooth but also somewhat leaving a coating on the tongue. The after taste is fruity to start but later leaves a bitter hops hit at the end.i like this one,it's different and flavorful with the addition of oats giving it just a little something special.Very well done brew.

Misty golden color with large white head. Lagunitas creates something different, with a very interesting malt character, like drinking a loaf of carbonated bread. Enjoyed this quite a bit.

Cheers! Oddly enjoyable and well-balanced. Golden ale color, lovable mutt on a good label/bomber. Brewer philosophies scrawled onto the label. Bready, with a dry citrus/acidic and, no, I'm not making this up, shrimp broth characteristic. I'd have liked to have had this with some food, because I think it would have done well -- especially with Thai. Starchy, somewhat tart mouth, and nice zingy hops in the medium finish.

Hazy golden-amber; lemony hop aroma with pale malts and, yes, oats. Tropical fruit esters (guava, mango, tangerine). The palate is fruity (peach, tangerine, lime), with some cedary hops. Light & refreshing.
