Pours a surprisingly light color, golden with a nice white head. Rich floral aroma layered atop lemon-peel and pine hops. This is not your typical Lagunitas brew; those trademark dark caramel malts are nowhere to be found, and the usual strongly resinous, oily, citric hops are replaced by a delicious lighter set of lovely fresh hop flavors. Mouthfeel is good, crisp enough and yet full enough to really hit the mark for the style.

This is my favorite Lagunitas beer; I hope it isn’t entirely sold out everywhere I go because I’d certainly like to pick up another couple of bottles.

Addendum: After trying Kill Ugly Radio, this is no longer my favorite from Lagunitas. But it is good nonetheless....

Clean golden hue with a small but lasting frothy head and okay lace. The aroma has notes of light pineapple and grapefruit, some pine and wood, light clove and pepper and a bready malt vapor. The taste starts fruity and mildly hoppy but balanced with a even handed pale malt and caramel base. The finish displays some pepper and astringent qualities. The overall beer is quite drinkable, not a super-hopped west coast IPA.

Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 22 oz bomber. Murky, medium orange pour, fluffy white head. Fresh sprucey aroma with a hint of mint. Patented west coast hoppy, grapefruity flavor with an excellent malty balance of nectarines, maple syrup, mint and caramel. Thickish mouthfeel and the ABV is hidden well. Lagunitas comes trhough again - I like their style and fun attitude.

murky orange with a small white head that left little webbing on the sides of the glass.aroma is a blend of apricots, oranges, lemons, and caramel malts.i must say the aroma is very pleasing to the nose.flavor mixes up the aroma with a bit of a bitter finish.along with a bit of alcohol and tobacco.this is very crisp and refreshing.

#939, Bottle purchased from Sams in Downers Grove. Served on thanksgiving 2006. Darker golden clear with a nice white head. Nose was full of floral hops and just a hint of sweet malts. Taste had lots of zest, citrus and hops. Very good.

Nice pine and straw aromas and tastes. Getting some citrus, orange, and slight lemon tastes as well. Finish is bitter and hoppy. Clear golden color. Nice smooth IPA a bit quick on the finish though.
