How: Bottle 22oz. (backlog, consumed some time ago)
The look: Partly cloudy golden body topped by a small white head
In long: Nose of hops resin. Pleasant smooth caramel quickly followed by a strong bitterness with pine-tree and citrus fruits. A bit resinous. Lots of small bubbles. Nice IPA that is somewhere between the refreshing and the nourishing type. Good thing it’s retired, every time I was in a bar and a customers said “We would like the Freak Out please” the owner would ask me to leave the premises.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 31, 2008 Aged about a year in my basement, found at Belmont Part Supply, Dayton. Smells like an IPA and initially quite hoppy, with a finish of palm/coconut oil. Drinkable, but the coconut oiliness is not my favorite. Medium bodied. Golden yellow with loyal bubbly almost transparent head. Cletus (5057), Connecticut, USA

Smells of resin, wildflowers, spicem pepper, earthy. Tastes resiny and caramelly with a finish that is slightly cloying. Decent. jgb9348 (2505), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 11, 2008 Crisp hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of fresh malt, alcohol, strong yeast and a ton of hops - very nice! Full-bodied; Super strong hops show up front with a bunch of alcohol, malt and yeast with apricots the most pungent of the bunch. Aftertaste shows piney and grapefruity hops with a good malt backbone and some yeast to cover it all up. In addition -a full bodied alcoholic flavour. Overall, a very nice beer - more of an Imperial IPA, but a ton of hops show very well! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in San Francisco, CA (4th Ave SOMA location) on 27-October-2008, sampled on 07-August-2008. haddon90 (1036), Alexandria, Virginia, USA

Pours a hazy copper color with a nice frothy head. Floral aroma, with a mix of hops and citrus notes. Some caramel, malt, and hops mixed in the taste. Light citrus notes as well. Decent beer from Lagunitas! Angeloregon (2025), Portland, Oregon, USA
