Lightly citrusy nose with a touch of overripe fruit. Medium body with lightly sweet caramel and overripe fruit with some bitterness. Comments: A straightforward, classic Californian IPA that wins a few points for its crispiness.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 13, 2007 22 oz bottle at Logan’s Pre-GABF party. Lots of citrus hops and some grassiness on the aromas. Flavors were not quite as nice. I should have just smelled it all night. More citrus, but then a bitterness that wasn’t the expected hop bitterness. Still not bad. riversideAK (2792), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Sep 12, 2007 Sweet grapefruit and pine hops aroma. Smells sticky. Pours orange gold with a minimal soapy white head. Strong hop bitterness balanced by a little sweet malt that makes the flavor similar to a grapefruit juice. Dry piney hops linger on the backend with a little bit of sweetness that tries to get through the hop attack. The hop attack almost has a gritty chewy mouthfeel. I like this stuff more than its 3.66 rating. A big ass West Coast IPA. drewbeerme (2306), Chicago, Illinois, USA
