Some caramel artomas. (Caramel backbone, just like a red ale should be.) Fruity hoppyness. Medium to full bodied with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. Nice dry finish. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Jan 27, 2008 Flaske. JohnnyOS (646), Golden, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 22, 2008 Draft at Mahaffey’s. I think this is the first American Strong Ale I have ever had, and I am starting to get an understanding of the style. This is a hopped up red. Pours with a small head and lots of lacing. It has a mild bitter finish and is really well balanced. The alcohol is masked well. Recommended. Theis (3765), Denmark
