Sweet American hop aroma, mostly on the peach and pine side. There is a hint of a sweet malty amber ale flavour, but soon enough it hits you in the head with a wonderful big and bitter hop flavour! Pine and peach all over the mouth and with a bitter grapefruit aftertaste. Yummy! Papsoe (15103), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Clear, amber golden with a dense, creamy, beige head that leaves quite some lacework. Sweetish aroma of caramel and peaches from the aroma hops. Medium-bodied with fairly sweet caramel with a dry, hoppy finish from the aroma hops. 120108 KimJohansen (7132), Copenhagen V, Denmark

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jan 10, 2008 Dark ruby color with a half inch tan head. The aroma has a strong hop presence up front along with a warming brown sugar character. Full body shows a mild sweetness that eventually makes way to a crisp pleasant bitterness in the finish that quickly fades. Nothing is overpowering, very well balanced. Nicely hopped aroma - grapefruity/piney & a slight sweet malty note. Well balanced, soft & full bodied. Power fruity hoppy - but still pleasant in a nice way. Lasting bitter end. Good drinkability! | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 4, 2008 Clear amber orange apperance with an ok head. Hops and red fruits dominates the aroma. Some bready and light peppery notes in there also. Fruity and flower hoppy flavor with a good bitterness and a malty sweetness backing it up. Has a nice little bite on the tongue. Flavor full and nicely balanced. I like Lagunitas, all their beers are good and generally it is just a cool brewery. Quake1028 (633), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 31, 2007 Draught from Mr. Dunderbak’s. Dark amber body, very rusty with a nice, thick off white head. Great retention and some nice drip lacing. Nose of grapefruits, oranges, citrus hops, grassy fields, caramel malts and honeysuckle. Flavor is very similar, heavy on the citrus hops and bitterness, but always with a sweet malt backbone to balance everything out. A really pronounced honey sweetness picks up about midway through and carries on. Medium bodied, very style appropriate. Bitterly astringent throughout, but kept in check and nothing to fault the beer for. Sweet, lengthy finish that immediately picks up a jolt of citrus and hops that lasts until the bitter end. Great beer, another very impressive offering from Lagunitas. Glad to see them so prevalent in the area, especially on draught.
