| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 13, 2009 Sugar daddies, pine and a light bakery smell in the nose. Brown with orange highlights, or are they red? Decent head, a bit spotty. Malty palate, mild resinous mouthfeel. Somewhat neutral finish. Nice beer, nothing spectacular or unusual. I’ve come to expect the unexpected from this brewery. TURDFERGUSON (1606), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 9, 2009 Deep, dark ruby, hue with healthy ecru chapeau. Big aroma of sweet grapefruity hops, caramel malt, and spice. Thick flavors of berry preserves (strawberry?), sweet and balanced with the acidity of hop resins. Refreshing finish with juciy hops lingering on the tongue. Redolent of the juicy hop beers the brewery produces. Satisfying and very well built. Try with young Stilton, and sheeps milk cheeses with pate. 92A Elwood (680), Leesburg, Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 7, 2009 Serving: 12 oz. bottle.
Appearance: Nice amber-brown color with a foamy, light tan head. Lots of sticky lacing left behind.
Aroma: Pine hops, bready malt, and some caramel. A little lighter than expected.
Taste: Caramel malt, mostly pine hops but some floral notes as well, and some nuttiness. Quite nice!
Mouthfeel: Carbonation is medium and smooth. Full body and a sticky mouthfeel. Medium finish with a nice malt/hop balance.
Overall: This was a pretty impressive ale that is well put together and is worth trying.
Would I buy it again: Definitely. I wouldn’t mind having a few of these lying around the house. ilovedarkbeer (1367), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 6, 2009 Pours a dark brown color with a small to medium sized creamy beige head. Nose is dark brown sugar and pine needles. Taste is about the same. Not really complex. Weaker mouthfeel that finishes very bitter yet sweet. Homebrew quality IMO.
