Commercial Description:
Having downed his forth Imperial Stout of theay, the wild eyed charlatan from Voldvostogniaky belched and hollered for the Czarina to enter his chamber and bend herself to his will. The economy was a wreck and revolt was just around the corner. Nicky the Czar dude was off playing soldier like any pale nobleman with a hemorrphagic skin condition would. Such were the final days of the old empire. Reactionary, decadent, sputnik, stroganoff, wierd, and drunk. But even as the proletariat countryside labored under inhuman conditions and a threat of being sent to futile war in the east, they wisely took the time to slam back an Imperial Stout or two. After all, life can be a real "suka", as they say in the old country. Big, black, bourgeois, bolshoy, belligerent, buxom, and scary - this is our version of the chaotic end of an era in a bottle.

(22 oz bottle) deep black with small tan head. Aroma of coffee. Flavor is roast coffee, some hops in the finish.

By the looks of this beer I can tell there is nothing to be impressed about in regards to the appearance. No head exists on this beer, and the head that does exist is too white. The beer is also not as black as I would like it to be. It is very very brown, which to me is not impressive. This stout doesn’t even deserve an average (3) rating. There is a nice malty/coffee aroma. I am surprised how pungent the aroma is. The aorma is very limited by the coffee/malt. The beer smells very sweet. This is a nice attribute of the aroma. I am somewhat impressed by the pungent aroma. There is a nice malty taste and coffee taste, but the coffee taste is surprisingly weak. I get more of a caramel malt taste from this beer. I like the taste, but I am not so sure that the flavor matches the style of beer. The beer is too carbonated for me, given the fact that it is a friggin stout. Too much carbonation. Overall, pungent aroma, and decent taste, but the taste doesn’t much the stout style I think superior stouts have, and it is too carbonated.

Roasty mocha flavor. Smooth more than big flavor. Dry with ample hops and lots of head compared to the carbonation.

Ultra dark, not much light getting through. A well balanced imperial that drinks nice and easy for 8.2% ABV. More coffee than choclolate. This should be in a 12oz bottle if you ask me.

Very dark with just a glimmer of red light peeking through the glass. Very little head. Good and strong chocolate malt and sweet coffee flavoring.

22 oz bottle. Pours a near black color with a tan head. Flavor is a malt, chocolate, and coffee. Touch of roastiness. Very drinkable for an imperial stout.

Black with tan foamy head. Roasted malt and hops aroma. Chocolaty malt taste with hops finish. I was really looking for that big flavor you usually get in a Imperial Stout but it was nowhere to be found.

Thanks to Jason for this one. Dark brown color with visible bubbles rising, and a ring of tan bubbles at the edges. Aromas of licorice, brown sugar and toffee. Flavors of maple, brown sugar, and cola with little to no roastiness. Somewhat thin body.
