| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 25, 2008 Black pour, opaque, with a thick, foamy tan head. Nice roasted malt aroma. The flavor is rich roasted malt with a chocolatey sweetness and a bit of nutty bitterness. Gains quite a bit of character as it warms. Full mouthfeel despite a meduim body/thickness. Very smooth, robust, and flavorful. ryan (1781), Beltsville, Maryland, USA

The nose is light chocolate, light brown sugar and maple syrup. THe flavor is lightly sweet with grapes, brown sugar and cola. Medium body is thin and watery with light carbonation. doubleo (1121), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Feb 23, 2008 22oz bomber. If you were disappointed with Lagunitas Cappucino Stout then try this beer. Pours dark chocolate brown, fizzy light brown head that fades quick to nothing. Smells of roasty and toasty malts and coffee. Tastes roasty malty and pretty chocolatey. Medium bodym very crisp carbonation. Much better and just as coffee-ee as the Cappucino Stout but not as thin. DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 20, 2008 Aroma of cocoa, roast coffee and fine malt, deep brown, red at the edges, small tan head. Sour/sweet taste, with coffee and milk chocolate and toast. Very well balanced, medium bodied, sour/bitter, drying. Terrific! Thank You Dave Steen. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 18, 2008 Bomber. Black pour with a thin, sparse tan head. Real mild aroma - light cocoa and roast, a bit of alcohol. Nice smooth taste, cocoa and chocolate with a touch of hops. As it warms, an odd almost fuselly finish starts to become apparent. Not bad, but it has a few odd points. Braudog (3777), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 18, 2008 This pours with a surprisingly reddish tinge, the head substantial, but fizzy and fleeting. The aroma is sweet with a definite hint at the some meaty alcohol. Despite the obvious availability of alcoholic mass in this one, this drinks with an exceptionally smooth balance. Moderately rich with roasty malts, with a mellow bitterin aspect. This is serving as a fine nightcap for me, thank you very much. (#3329, 2/18/2008)
