| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Apr 20, 2007 bomber purchased at a bodega in SF. Pours plack with a big light brown head. The aroma is smokey and malty and tempting. the taste does not follow through, quite light. This is way thinner than I expected from Lagunitas, dissapointed. NachlamSie (1657), Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 8, 2007 Bottle split with Tronraner. Pours a very dark ruby, kind of black, with a nice tan head. Lacing is fairly dense and clingy on the snifter. The nose is rich of molasses and loads of soy sauce. A bit of Latin Am
erican coffee scents come out with wooden hops as well. The body so-so for the style, barley viscous. The flavor is heavy of molasses, toffee, coffee, and some earth. The finish is a bit papery with hints of prune, and
drying nutty flavors. It comes across almost like an American take on a Baltic porter. It’s okay, not really outstanding for the style. tronraner (1939), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 8, 2007 Bomber split with NachlamSie. Pours dark ruby with smallish beige head. The aroma is molasses, faint tones of wood and alcohol. The flavor is also much like molasses. Some cocoa and toast hints float around in there, too. A sort of lemony hop bitterness comes out in the finish. Decent, but doesn’t really have the depth I like in a good impy. 5000 (2900), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 24, 2007 Bottle: Deep brown, medium sized frothy beige head, falls somewhat quickly, lacing is minor.   Roasted malts on the nose, a slight soy and steak sauce tinge. Bitter-sweet roasted malt flavor. Not very heavy, body and mouthfeel are moderate. Off flavors on the finish. Hard to pin-point, but its exactly like a cross between a stout, mixed with a dash of soy and steak sauce. Lingering burnt malt finish, very minor lactose like sweetness sticks to the tongue. Not bad, but unfortunately a few weird
flavors. Not really enjoying this one.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 21, 2007 22 oz bottle. Poured a deep dark brown-reddish color. Head was bubbly and light tan with good retention and lacing. Aroma was of light malty chocolate and a hint of molasses. Flavor was similar, but also included some grassy hops. The alcohol was well hidden. Good, not great. cyanescens (159), Seattle, Washington, USA
